Relay for Life in Inuvik: $56,000 raised under 24-hour sunlight

Inuvik held its first “Relay for Life” fundraiser this year.

People walked around Jim Koe park for 12 hours, from 7pm to 7am on Friday.

This year thanks to online pledges, volunteers raised about $56,000 which is amazing for a town of just over 3,000 people.

Congratulations everyone!

Note: All these photos were taken at midnight! 24-hour sunlight is amazing.

  1. That is phenomenal for such a small town… I live in a town of about 2,500 and I think we’d be lucky to get about £1.50!
