Aerial surveillance

July 24, 2007 · 2 Comments

This hawk was riding the air currents outside Tsiigehthic on July 20.

Interesting to think that birds have better vision than humans. What does their world look like? Do they see every individual pebble, tree leaf and blade of grass, even at a great height?

When I drive places, I always keep my camera ready, with the zoom lens on and the settings prepared for quick shutter speed.

In this case, my friends weere driving to Dawson City, and I saw the hawk. I said “stop the car!” and got out, taking several photographs.

    This was the best one..
